About This Game Antiquitas is an ancient civilization city builder and simulation game. It is basically the game you have always been waiting for. Transport yourself back to ancient Roman times where you are given an empty plot of land and a few coins. Transform the land into the ancient city of your dreams! With many technologies to unlock, servants to purchase, independence to gain, and over two hundred unique buildings to create, Antiquitas will keep you playing for months. Currently available civilizations are the Romans, the Gaul, and the Egyptians. * Various sound effects provided by ZEDorDEAD * Various graphics created by jova * Midi soundtrack from mfiles a09c17d780 Title: AntiquitasGenre: Simulation, StrategyDeveloper:Ape AppsPublisher:Ape AppsRelease Date: 16 Nov, 2017 Antiquitas Free Offline It's a great idea to put this game on steam.7/10 needs achievements.. For 2 bucks it's a nice game. But it is just a city builder. Thats all. This game really miss some chalenges. You can build wall, but why when there are any raider or enemies at all. You refuse to pay tax, well there are no consequences. There is only one real challenge - you have to build hundreds of Toolshops because this workshop is extremelly slow and you need thousands of tools. This game is missing proper tutorial. Some thing are unlogical - for example you unlock some new building in tech tree - but you can not build them... you even don't see these building in build windows. Well, you have to buy slave first to unlock new building. Great. And I played for as egyptian, unlocked theatre tech tree and there are no theatre buildings at all. Actually whole tech tree is quite strange, you never know what tech will you unlock next. Also working with slaves is pain in the a.. You can select one slave or all of them. Developer probably never played ago of empire :) And your own people are super lazy, they work only 8 hours at day. Most of the time, they are not at work. Common, this is just a game, they don't need relax (especially when slaves works 24h/day) There are some buttons - to fire someone from work, or to execute him, but actually these buttons are useless. New employee will be the same lazy a..And the worst, graphic is really fugly. Oh my eyes. Actually is not that bad when you start the game, but once you scroll out, it is impossible to scroll back to "original zoom" You can press "Return to centre" button to get the original sharp look, but once you use scroll again, graphic is blured. But it's not a bad game, I enjoyed it. It just need some polishing.. Unplayable. The houses of scribes that I have built have idle workers. My progress has stalled from the start. I wish you had put My Colony on steam. You really need to focus on bug fixes before anything. I turned of rendering colonists. Still it doesn't work. I put simulation on Perfect mode. The workers need to be more automatic. Colonists need to be fixed overall.I would really recommend this game after the bug fixes, but both in My Colony and this game, it just doesn't happen. The developer told me the bugs are incredibly hard to fix because this game is assembled with a bunch of scripts or something. Well, there you have the problem; this game needs to be recoded entirely. I'm waiting....[Edit] I downvoted this game before, because I was frustrated by the bugs which need fixing. I restarted the game and built more scribes. Once the research started I got to enjoy the game more. The graphics are pretty cool and the gameplay is similar to My Colony, which is one of my favourite games. The developer is actively working, and I hope he can solve issues in the near futute!. Basic builder game with 3 unique cultures and different landscapes to build upon. Overall great value for game type. Since it is in the early stages I am going to list difficulties I have and hope the developers take note.-Grain fields to don't appear with an artic environment-can't build things that require grain if I have none-Needs a separate, specific, cleared area for servants to appear after purchase they are difficult to find since the slavery is one of the first buildings purchased and is usually in the middle of a city. -Need a separate builder servant, that is all they do, I have had issues of the game refusing to build items, example having 31 storehouses and only ten being built (no reason, plenty of resources, etc. )-There are difference between the cultures and should be a tutorial or section explaining them. I will be adding/subtracting from my list as I play. I recommend the game and hope to see others play it. A feature to screen shot your finished community and share it with other players would be a good idea as a later add. Happy Building folks,. Really difficult to understand the mechanics of the game, tried for half an hour, could not make me happy. but as of now, I felt it boring and lacking in tutorial/ information/guide.I wish to have 25 hours of happiness considering the amount. but, got tired and bored in half an hour. Considering the game can still be modified for ease of use, I will revisit next month for sure. then might change my review.. ♥♥♥♥♥game dont waste your time
